Ghee Processing Plant

Ghee Processing Plant

We are offering Ghee Processing Plants that are widely installed in dairy plants and food industries. Our Processing Plants are constructed using stainless steel and are tested thoroughly on stringent parameters.

• Pre-Butter Melting Vat

Butter Melting Vat is used to melt the butter before making GHEE. Made of SS 304 with a sanitary finish. Capacity can be designed as per requirements. we provide this product with a temperature control feature for melted butter and hot water. This product ensures consistent heating for avoiding the chances of burning. The offered product is designed with a hot water coil structure for effortless cleaning. This product works on timber-based butter dosing operations. Suitable for making yogurt, the provided Butter Melting Vat comes in different standard capacities, configurations, and technical specifications.

• Ghee Boiler

We are offering quality certified ghee boilers that are widely installed in dairy plants and food industries. Our ghee boilers are constructed using stainless steel and are tested thoroughly on stringent parameters. This ghee boiler comprises jacketed insulation with a hemispherical bottom type. In this, heating is done by a specific amount of working dry steam pressure. We offer these boilers in the capacity of 300 kg up to 3000 kg.

Specifications
  • Material: SS 304 / SS 316
  • Size: Customized or as per Customer Specifications
  • Capacity: 300 Kgs - 3000 Kgs

• Strained Balance Tank

When boiled ghee in a dairy facility is transferred from the ghee boiler to strained balance tanks to remove ghee strains, monitoring the product level in the tanks is critical to maintaining sanitary and cost-effective operations. In addition to the boiled ghee, strained balance tanks must also accommodate sludge strains of ghee that must be reprocessed with sediment press because it has not met all the conditions for safety, to maintain the proper level of ghee in strained balance tanks.

Specifications
  • Material: SS 304 / SS 316
  • Size: Customized or as per Customer Specifications
  • Capacity: 50 Kgs - 500 Kgs

• Ghee Settling Tank

Ghee or Butter oil would be stored in this tank at temperature of 60° to 65° centigrade or Ghee made in the ghee boiler, would be transferred in this tank for settling of burnt SNF residues. The tank should be of double walled, jacketed and sanitary design. All inside corners should have minimum radial of 25 mm. The shell and the bottom portion of the tank should be jacketed for heating and cooling arrangement.

The inner shell and inner conical bottom should be made from 2 mm thick for 1 KL, 2 KL and 3mm for 5 KL and 10 KL stainless steel plate conforming to AISI 304. The outer shell and flat bottom should be made from of 2 mm thick stainless-steel plate conforming to AISI 304. The top should be flat made from 2mm thick stainless-steel sheet conforming to AISI 304. Two Half openable covers on top made from 2 mm thick stainless-steel sheet conforming to AISI 304.

Sprinkler pipe of 25 mm dia made from stainless steel (AISI 304) for sprinkling hot or chilled water on the outer surface of inner shell. The complete sprinkler pipe should be removable. The sprinkler pipe should end outside in a header with two separate connections for hot and chilled water. All stainless-steel welding joints are to be ground smoothly. All stainless-steel surfaces are to be polished to 150 grits. All standard accessories are to be provided to the tank.

• Balance Tank

When boiled ghee in a dairy facility is transferred from the ghee boiler to balance tanks to store ghee, monitoring the product level in the tanks is critical to maintaining sanitary and cost-effective operations. In addition to the boiled ghee, balance tanks must also accommodate for the packing of ghee to maintain the proper level of ghee in balance tanks.

• Storage Tank

The volume of the tank should be such that after filling it up to the rated capacity, the level would be 100 mm below the line where cylindrical shell joins the conical top. Triple walled, insulated and welded construction of sanitary design. Sufficient slope should be provided towards the inlet-cum-outlet along the periphery of the reverse conical bottom. The only metal to metal contact between the inner and outer shells should be at the places where fittings for the tank are provided. All welding joints are to be ground smoothly. All stainless-steel surfaces are to be polished to 150 grits. The radii of all welded and permanent attachment joints should be at least 6mm. Where the conical top and reverse conical bottom join the cylindrical shell, the radii should not be less than 25mm.

• Ghee Residue press

Ghee-residue is a nutritious by-product. This by-product has been studied for its physio-chemical characteristics and its utilization in a number of food products like chocolate burfi, samosa filling, chapatis etc. Ghee-residue, by virtue of its chemical composition, bulk of production, physical characteristics, long shelf life permitting its collection and centralized handling, has great potential and is more amenable to exploit its utilization in food industry. Further, the flavour potential of ghee-residue is much greater than that of ghee. Hence it can be utilised for flavouring bland fats and also enhancing their keeping quality. In dairy plants, attempt is made to recover as much ghee as possible from ghee-residue. Two methods of recovery of ghee from ghee-residue are adopted.

This consists of subjecting the heated ghee-residue (65-70°C) to a limited pressure in hand screw or hydraulic press. This method gives a yield of about 45% (extraction efficiency of about 67%). This method is simple, efficient, more practical, economical and requires no electricity or sophisticated equipment.
